About
Put it on the projector. The quieter the room, the more animals come out.
Where it came from
Shy Safari started as a three-day project at the EdTech-a-thon, an event where people get together to build free tools for classrooms. It's now run by teacher.dev, where you can find our other tools.
What it does
Put the savanna, the coral reef, deep space or the age of dinosaurs up on the board and press Start. While the class stays under the volume goal, animals come out one at a time. If it gets too loud, they run away. You can change that in Settings so the scene just pauses until it's quiet again. Most animals are common, a few are rare, and the class can look back at every one they've spotted.
No catch
It's free. There's no paid version and no ads, and we don't collect personal information about you or your students.
